Welcome to Designer Spotlight! This edition, we catch up with @tlynnjewelrydesign, a maker whose work channels coastal charm and artisanal detail into every piece. Inspired by the ocean’s textures, the warmth of natural materials, and a love for effortless bohemian style, she blends organic elements like shells, bone beads, carved mala beads, pearls, and recycled glass into jewelry that feels both grounded and timeless.
How did you get into jewelry making?
I started making jewelry just for myself - little pieces that reflected my style. Then I began gifting them, and soon family and friends started placing orders. That led to a few jewelry parties, which were so much fun. After moving and taking a two-year hiatus, I started up again, which led to the opening of my Etsy shop.
What kind of jewelry pieces are your favorite to make?
I love making beachy boho-style pieces. In the summer, I lean into that easy-breezy vibe. With lots of shells and texture. As the seasons shift, I bring in richer elements like pyrite and pearls for a cozier, grounded feel in fall and winter.
What types of beads are your favorite to work with
I’m drawn to organic elements and artisan components - things with soul and character. Natural stones, shells, pearls, artisan bronze and recycled glass are some of my absolute favorites.
What is your biggest jewelry design achievement?
Running a successful Etsy shop has been a dream come true. Knowing that something I’ve created can elevate someone’s style and make them feel beautiful and confident - that means everything to me.
Who are some jewelry designers that inspire you?I am especially drawn to designers who capture that laid-back beachy vibe with a touch of artisan soul. Artists like Twig and Twine for their unique take on organic coastal beauty. Their work feels effortless yet intentional. Jes MaHarry with her soulful story driven pieces and bohemian layering. I’m constantly inspired by small artisan makers like Lisa and the Beach and Papergull who create with raw coastal elements. That kind of grounded natural beauty always speaks to me.
From her first handcrafted gifts for family and friends to running a thriving Etsy shop, @tlynnjewelrydesign has built a jewelry brand that radiates laid-back elegance and coastal soul. Discover her designs and follow her journey on Instagram for new releases and inspiration.
