White Coconut Bone Heishi Beads (10mm)

This particular style of bead derives its name from its resemblance to the traditional coconut heishi that is traditionally worn in Nigeria and other regions of West Africa. These particular beads have been fashioned from repurposed bone in Kenya. The thin 1mm cut of the beads requires the expertise of a skilled artisan to achieve the uniform and smooth form. Each strand measures approximately 26" in length and individual beads have a generous 3mm hole. Bead count is only an approximation and is based on actual thickness of beads which may vary.
