This lovely strand features vintage white Prosser button beads, a classic style of pressed glass bead originating from the former Czechoslovakia. Made by compressing molten glass into molds, Prosser beads were first produced in the 19th century and became widely traded across Africa during the 1900s.
The beads have a smooth “button” shape with clean edges and an opaque white color that adds a touch of vintage charm. Measuring approximately 2 x 8–9mm, they are strung on a generous 34-inch strand and are in very good condition considering their age.
