This unusual strand of vintage flower beads likely originates in the former Czechoslovakia. Beads such as this were traded to Africa and are found today in places like the Ivory Cost and Ghana. These are a type of pressed glass bead also known as Prosser beads and are made using a molding method that was commonly used to make buttons. Flower beads fashioned in a variety of colors and sizes. Larger sizes and certain colors such as black and white are less common that greens and browns. Hard to find strand! Each bead measures approximately 2 x 9mm with a hole size of approximately 2mm.
