• Bead sizes are measured ranges; handmade glass, metal and bone vary from bead to bead within them
• Holes from under 1mm (Roman glass) to 3mm (padre): use beading wire or fine cord for the small ones, cord or leather for the larger ones
• The grey bone beads are carved and polished by hand from recycled cow bone in Kenya

Roman glass cylinder heishi from Afghanistan, zig-zag batik bone and washed grey bone from Kenya, blue pastel Java gooseberry glass, black padre beads, and brass and white metal tubes from Ethiopia. Tubes and cylinders add length and line between rounder beads. A ready-made set for designers who like clean, linear shapes.
