These unique cowrie shell beads were found in Ghana West Africa. Natural shell has long been used for jewelry making and ornamental arts in Continental Africa. This particular strands of shell beads is distinguished by the unique spotted pattern on the individual shells. The long strand is approximately 40" in length has been nicely wrapped at the top. Individual shells measure 7-11 x 8-20mm and have a hole drilled or punctured measuring 1-2mm in size. This strand is one of a kind and you will receive the exact strand pictured.
