A beautiful strand of powder glass African beads, made by the people of Krobo Mountain (Ghana, West Africa), reproducing old Venetian FANCY trade beads. Made from bottles and other glass items that are turned into powder, then poured into molds in order to create this nice looking drum shaped beads. Decorations on the beads are made with a paste made of colored glass powder and water, which is applied using a thin wooden stalk. They are cooked a second time to fix the decor. The beads are handmade. Pattern of dots may vary from photo.

Best bead store EVER

Bead Chest not only has marvelous beads that are even better than the photos, but they also have great seller communication! Beads are shipped quickly and wrapped so carefully that I have a hard time getting into them :)!!
Have bought a second time and will make The Bead Chest my preferred bead store. Seriously. You should make it your preferred store also because, a good bead is hard to find!

SO Nice

Love these. Convey the African style to the jewelry and can mix with solid colors for a great look. I think using combining only a few with other beads gives it a higher end look as if to stay these decorative beads are much more expensive than the others which makes product look high end.
Great condition. As always super fast shipping with great packaging.
