Round Black Obsidian Beads (4mm)

Black Obsidian is a naturally occuring form of Volcanic Glass. It is known for its deep black color and reflective sheen. Obsidian forms when Lava from a volcano rapidly cools and mixes with other minerals in the ground or in water. It is most commonly found near the edges of lava flow and in areas where lava falls directly into the ocean. Each bead measures approximately 4 x 4mm with a hole size of approximately 1mm.
