Despite the name, Russian Blue beads were produced in Bohemia using the drawn-glass technique and became highly prized in the global trade during the 18th and 19th centuries, valued for their distinctive faceted tubular form and exceptional craftsmanship. Garnet red examples are exceedingly difficult to acquire, making strands such as this a remarkable find for collectors and designers alike.
