This region of the world has a very ancient history and is one of the crucibles of civilization. Interestingly, Alexander the Great passed through this valley on his way to conquer India. These beads are a more recent production that have been fashioned in the original form. Individual beads range in size between 7-25mm wide by 4-15mm in diameter with a hole size of 1-2mm.
