These stylish Krobo Beads are a must-have for anyone looking to make their own unique jewelry creations. Made by the people of Krobo Mountain in Ghana, West Africa. Many designs of Krobo beads are patterned to resemble old Venetian fancy trade beads. These beads are fashioned from bottles and other glass items that are turned into powder, then poured into molds in order to create these round shaped beads. Decorations on the beads are made with a paste made of colored glass powder and water which is applied by hand using a thin wooden stalk. Each bead is unique and measures about 10 x 11mm with a hole size of approximately 3mm. You will receive a full strand measuring roughly 26".
