Moonstone Beads have been used by jewelry designers for hundreds of years, and was especially popular in ancient Roman and Greek societies. It was believed that moonstone came from beams of light sent down to the earth from the moon during a full moon. When moonstone is held up to natural light it refracts the light and causes an interesting visual shimmering effect. Each bead measures approximately 4 x 4mm with a hole size of approximately 1mm.
