Krobo beads are made by the Krobo people of Ghana from recycled bottle glass ground to powder, poured into molds and fired, with the designs painted on in glass paste. Many patterns echo the old Venetian fancy trade beads. Their big holes and bold patterns suit chunky necklaces, cord bracelets, keychains and macrame, and a mixed set like this lets designers play patterns against each other.
