Commonly referred to as Roman Glass, the material for these beads is derived from ancient cups, vases, and perfume containers that have sustained the travails of time. If you look carefully, you will see that these beads have a unique patina endowed by the mineral deposits where the glass lay buried. Each glass piece has been individually drilled and threaded to create a strand. Due to their age and extensive travel, some beads may be chipped. Each strand is unique and may vary slightly from photo. Good for home decor or jewelry adornments. Note that while the material is said to be of old, possibly ancient origin, the precise age of the glass has not been independently verified.
