Gold Color Medium French Wire (0.9mm, 14in)
Gold color French wire, also called bullion or gimp, is the fine coiled wire that covers the last stretch of beading wire or thread where it passes through a clasp, so no bare strand shows at the closure. This piece is medium weight, 0.9mm (0.035 inch) in diameter, cut to a 14 inch length, and made from copper wire finished in a warm gold color. Cut a short section, thread your stringing material through the coil, loop it through the clasp and finish with a crimp as usual. It is especially useful on knotted silk pearl strands and seed bead designs, where a soft, flexible loop looks far better than exposed thread. Made in Pakistan.
