Product Details

This beautiful strand of African powder glass beads was made by the people of Krobo Mountain in Ghana, West Africa. Many designs of Krobo beads are patterned to resemble old Venetian fancy trade beads. They are made from bottles and other glass items that are turned into powder, then poured into molds in order to create beads. Decorations on the beads are made with a paste made of colored glass powder and water which is applied by hand using a thin wooden stalk. The beads are cooked a second time to fix the decor. Each bead measures approximately 23-26 x 10-12mm with a hole size of approximately 3mm. You will receive a full strand measuring approximately 31". Limited supply.

awesome!

I have tons of krobo beads but these are the best! the price can't be beat and you get LOTS of beads. bright, bold colors and you can wear them 'as-is' while you decide how to use them in creating jewelry.
