Conch shells are of spiritual and religious importance in Hinduism and Buddhism. This hand-carved conch shell was carefully crafted to show one of the eight Ashtamangala symbols. The Ashtamangala are a sacred set of symbols which are considered to point to the qualities of enlightenment. Within Buddhism, they are considered to be symbols of good fortune. The shell measures approximately 55-60 x 90-100mm. Each conch shell is unique and may vary slightly from the photo.
