The mineral rich landscape of Central Asia has been a source of treasured stones for at least three millennia. These delightful, handcrafted gemstone beads come in a special bicone shape, measuring approximately 4 x 3mm, with holes measuring <1mm. Each strand is approximately 15" long. Turquoise stone has been treasured since time immemorial as a protective talisman. Byzantine Blue Heishi get 10 Stars and A+++++++++

These Afghani Turquoise are the most glorious color! I wonder if their gorgeousness will detract from more sedate, utilitarian beads. Maybe they'd be best in a huge torsade, just them alone. I hope you'll have them for as long as it takes for me to be able to afford them by the hundreds.
