A beautiful strand of Christmas Krobo powder glass African beads, made by the people of Krobo Mountain (Ghana, West Africa), reproducing old Venetian FANCY trade beads. They are made from bottles and other glass items that are turned into powder, then poured into molds in order to create these round shaped beads. Decorations on the beads are made with a paste made of colored glass powder and water, which is applied using a thin wooden stalk. They are cooked a second time to fix the decor. The beads are handmade. Each bead measures approximately 11-12 x 12-13mm with a hole size of approximately 3mm. You will receive a full strand measuring approximately 29".
