Details

• Hand-carved bone varies in size, shape and pattern from bead to bead within these ranges
• Holes are 1.5-2mm: string on cord, waxed linen, wire or elastic
• Patterns are hand-dyed with the batik wax-resist method, so each bead is unique

These beads are carved from bone in Kenya and patterned by hand using a wax-resist batik dye. The set covers chevron, stripes, zebra, polka dots, stars and eyes, plus carved brown and plain white beads to space them out. Mix the patterns in boho bracelets and earthy necklaces; designers get a full Kenyan bone palette in one order.
