Product Details

These tribal aluminum beads are made in a design traditional to the Mursi people. The Mursi are a pastoralist tribe who live in various parts of Ethiopia, and are known for their unique and pronounced jewelry designs. Aluminum is a common choice for jewelry designers because it is lighter in weight and known to resist rust, while still resembling genuine silver. Each bead measures approximately 8 x 16mm with a hole size of approximately 6mm. You will receive a full strand measuring 24" long. Incorporate these beads into your next design!

bold elegance

these beads really stand out. they really work well with recycled glass as well as other metal beads such as copper and brass. their size makes them a perfect focal on a leather cord. very versatile.

Lovely beads

They were exactly as I expected except the size was a bit large (6mm), which was my own fault for not paying better attention. I am sure I will still find a way to use these pretty beads in a different project. They have kind of a matte finish with just a bit of shine which will work well for certain projects.
