9 Strand Bundle: Ghana Glass Bead Color Sampler

This nine strand sampler gathers a range of handmade Ghana glass beads in one colorful set, giving designers a wide palette of shapes and tones to work with. You will receive one strand each of Rainbow Speckled (7mm), Light Orange Rondelle (11mm), Cape Coast Fused Rondelle (11mm) and Sapphire Rondelle recycled glass, Ocean Blue Ashanti Glass Saucers, and Grey Mist, Dark Green Swirl, Blue Green and Clear recycled glass rounds (14mm). The beads are made in Ghana, where crushed and powdered glass, much of it from recycled bottles and windows, is poured into clay molds and fired until it fuses, a technique used in Africa for centuries. Sizes run from 7mm rounds and 4 x 11mm rondelles to 14mm rounds and saucers, all with generous holes of about 2 to 3mm that make them easy to string on leather, cord, wire or elastic. Strands measure approximately 24 to 26 inches, with around 700 beads in all. Colors vary slightly from strand to strand, as expected with handmade recycled glass.
