Checkout these beautiful large bone batik from Africa! They are hand dyed beads from Kenya, Africa. The dying method is known as "batik", which is a wax relief process. The design on these is an interesting "EYE" design, with the pattern going all the way around the bead. These beads are strung on sisal and could even be worn as is. The strand is approximately 28" long, and each bead is about 25mm in diameter. They are perfect for any of your beading needs! Due to the handmade nature of these beads some beads may have a wood core that is more secure than others.
Although not the largest of the bone beads on offer these are BIG! I mixed the up with the black carved chevron mala beads as spacers as they similar. I tend to keep things simple and let the beads speak for themselves. These beads shout! Only complaint is since these are bone, they are basically hollow with wood "plugs" to fill them out. These plugs are sometimes loose and I must go through the whole strand to discover these malcontents and then squirt a little glue on them to keep them in one piece. It's not rocket science but it is a minor inconvenience. Doesn't stop me from buying more of these big beads and their sibs though.
