We're excited to shine the spotlight on @kylieandbryn, a designer whose passion for jewelry making has spanned three decades. What started as a simple desire to create the perfect necklace in college quickly grew into a lifelong love with beads, color, and creativity. Known for her playful, mix-and-match approach and her love for stacking bracelets, Kylie has built a small business rooted in self-expression and the joy of vibrant, handcrafted jewelry.
How did you get into jewelry making?
I’ve been making jewelry for a long time, about 30 years! I started making jewelry in College, I wanted a certain necklace and couldn’t find what I wanted so I made my own and that’s how I started. After college I made jewelry for friends and family. I loved going to different bead shops and mixing and matching all the different colored beads. I’ve always been drawn to colorful things and making jewelry was a creative outlet for me.

What kind of jewelry pieces are your favorite to make?
Some of my favorites pieces to make are bracelets. The idea around my small business is “mix and match your bracelets to create your own style”. I love wearing lots of bracelets and mix and matching them. I like stacking them up, the more the better!
What types of beads are your favorite to work with?
I love working with a combination of beads and mix and matching them. Some of my favorite beads to work with are recycled glass beads, wood, bone beads and gemstone beads just to name a few. Recycled glass beads are one of my favorites- the colors and textures of the beads make such unique and beautiful pieces.

Who are some jewelry designers that inspire you?
I have several jewelry designers that inspire me- one being Kendra Scott because she is a woman entrepreneur that started making jewelry at her dining room table and built a highly successful jewelry company which to me is very inspiring!

From bead shop explorations to launching her own online store, Kylie's journey is a testament to following your creative instincts and embracing color in every aspect of life. Her work reminds us that jewelry is more than an accessory, it's a form of art, self expression, and empowerment. Be sure to check out Kylie & Bryn's designs on Etsy and stay tuned for the launch of her website for even more style inspiration!
