    PERFECT

    Nicely carved small bone beads, a very desirable to work with, a nice addition to a necklace. They are a very light off-white, and I like the color.

    Non traditional uses of beads

    The beads filled a need for an unusual application: to model a old form of wiring in a doll house. Before the advent of plastic or rubberized coatings for electrical wires, insulation was provided by separating the wires by air. The wires were supported by ceramic 'knobs' and when the wire needed to pass through wood structures a ceramic tube carried the wire. I used two small bone beads with a 1/2 inch wire brad to model the 'knob'
