Each one of these special gems was hand collected from the shores of Ghana, then drilled into a bead and strung on a cord. This shape of sea shell has become particularly hard to find in bead form, as those who once gathered them are no longer continuing the tradition. Each shell measures approximately 23-44 x 4-10mm. With a long strand like this, you could use each shell as a pendant and make over 100 individual necklaces!
