Taureg Leather Tassel

This colorful leather tassel was handmade by the Tuareg people of West Africa. Tuareg tribes inhabit a broad desert territory stretching across the Sahara from Mali to Morocco. Special tassels such as these may be used for personal costumes or for decorating. The design is both distinctive and unique to the Tuareg. Each tassel measures approximately 7-8" in length with a generous loop. Width may vary slightly from photo. Color of tassel may vary between green, yellow, and magenta. Wear as is or as part of your own creations!
