Light Cobalt Blue Swirl Recycled Glass Beads (9mm)

These beautiful recycled glass beads are handmade by artisans in the West African country of Ghana. Each bead is individually handcrafted through a traditional process passed down generation to generation. The steps involve crushing glass into tiny pieces, placing it in a mold, and then heating the crushed glass at high temperatures in a clay oven. Different types of glass are used including old cola bottles, broken tiles and windows, and other types of repurposed glass. Each bead measures approximately 7-8 x 8-9mm, with a hole size of approximately 1-2mm. You will receive one strand measuring approximately 26". There are around 60 beads on each strand.
