A beautiful strand of powder glass African beads, made by the people of Kroboland ( Ghana , West Africa ) , IMITATING old Venetian FANCY trade beads. The strand is approx. 30" long. The size of the beads is 19mm in length. Made from bottles and other glass items that are turned into powder, then poured into molds in order to create this nice looking rectangular beads. Decorations on the beads are made with a paste made of colored glass powder and water, which is applied using a thin wooden stalk. They are cooked a second time to fix the decor. The beads are handmade.
