Product Details

These beautiful recycled glass beads are handmade by artisans in the West African country of Ghana. Each bead is individually handcrafted through a traditional process passed down generation to generation. The steps involve crushing glass into tiny pieces, placing it in a mold, and then heating the crushed glass at high temperatures in a clay oven. Different types of glass are used including old cola bottles, broken tiles and windows, and other types of repurposed glass. The beads on this strand measure approximately 14-16 x 17-18mm with a hole size of approximately 3mm. Each strand measures about 30". Get your strand today!

African recycled glass beads

I loved all the colors (seaglass, blue, gradient blues) that I ordered. They came really quick and intact. They really helped me out when my wholesale vendor couldn’t come through with my order. I donated the beads as trophy lei’s for an girls surf contest Salty Sweet in Cocoa Beach, Florida. The women loved them.
