A beautiful strand of powder glass African beads, made by the people of Krobo Mountain (Ghana, West Africa), made to resemble old Venetian FANCY trade beads. Made from bottles and other glass items that are turned into powder, then poured into molds in order to create this nice looking drum shaped beads. Decorations on the beads are made with a paste made of colored glass powder and water, which is applied by hand using a thin wooden stalk before they are cooked a second time to fix the decor. Each strand is unique and may vary slightly from strand pictured.
