A beautiful strand of powder glass African beads, made by the people of Krobo Mountain in Ghana, West Africa. The design of these Krobo beads is patterned to resemble old Venetian Tic-Tac-Toe Venetian Trade Beads. Made from bottles and other glass items that are turned into powder, then poured into molds in order to create these round shaped beads. Decorations on the beads are made with a paste made of colored glass powder and water which is applied by hand using a thin wooden stalk. The beads are cooked a second time to fix the decor. Each bead is unique and will measure approximately 21-23mm wide by 10mm in diameter. Strand may vary slightly from picture.
