This strand of interlocking Czech glass beads is called "SNAKE" trade beads because of its similarity to the snake vertebrae. They date back from the early 1900's. These beads have been molded and the strand is in pretty good condition. The beads are about 5mm in diameter by 2mm in width, and tones may vary slightly with a few beads of other colors possibly interspersed. This 'star' variety of snake beads is rare and much more difficult to find, especially the black color.
