These unusual glass Trade Beads were found in West Africa. While the exact age of this piece is not known, beads such as these were made between the 18th and them mid-20th century in Venice for export in the African Trade. Look closely and you will see that like the famed Venetian Millefiori bead, each bead has an inlaid flower pattern. Each long strand measures approximately 36" in length with individual somewhat cylindrical beads measuring approximately 10mm wide and 14-15mm diameter. Bead such as these are difficult to find and are collectable. As of the time of writing two similar strands are available. Actual strand may vary very slightly from photo. Any variation will be minimally discernible.
