Product DescriptionA beautiful strand of powder glass African beads, made by the people of Krobo Mountain (Ghana, West Africa). This strand was designed to resemble old Venetian AJa trade beads. Made from bottles and other glass items that are turned into powder, then poured into molds in order to create beads that resemble old Aja trade beads. Decorations on the beads are made by hand with a paste made of colored glass powder and water, which is applied using a thin wooden stalk before the beads are cooked a second time to fix the decor.

The items are nice and as described on the website. Unfortunately, the delivery took too long (almost a month) and also customs was too high. I like the beads, but don't think it is worth it if you do not live in the United States. I live in Canada and I think it was no fault of The Bead Chest because it was shipped on time. It has mostly to do with the delivering itself. I was hoping to order again, but only if I decide to get an American P.O. Box.
thanks for the beautiful beads
