Old Vaseline beads in this color are exceedingly rare and hard to find. Beads such as these were likely made in Bohemia using a combination of glass molding followed by faceting. Bohemia was a center of glass cutting throughout the 19th century due to the abundance of streams that could be used to drive the grinding wheels. Vaseline beads were likely introduced towards the end of the 19th century and were produced in a variety of colors including yellow, green, red, and less often blue, clear, and amber. These beads are in relatively good condition. Each bead measures approximately 10 x 15mm with a hole size of approximately 3mm. You will receive a full strand measuring approximately 28". You will receive a strand similar to that pictured. Strand may vary slightly from photo. If you would like to select your strand from our inventory, please email us prior to purchase.
