The vintage glass snake beads get their name due to their resemblance to the interlocking vertebrae of snakes. Most snake beads such as these are either of Czech or French provenance and were produced for African trade during the 20th Century. Each strand will include a variety of beads including some more rare colors such as green, black, brown and yellow. The strand length is 28" with approximately 165 beads per strand. Beads are strung on raffia. Each strand is unique and may vary slightly from photo.
