This colorful mix of Krobo beads is a traditional craft of Ghana in West Africa. The beads are formed using pulverized glass that is heated and a clay kiln. Each bead is then hand polished and painted with a colorful design. Many of the patterns you see on these beads are inspired by antique Venetian Trade Beads. Each strand measures approximately 32" long with individual beads 11-13mm in diameter and about 59 beads on a string. The large 3mm hole is perfect for thicker stringing materials such as leather cord. Get one strand with so many different and colorful designs!
I absolutely love these beads. I mix rhea with recycled Rondelle glass beads and round gemstones. I make beautiful bracelets. I will be purchasing many more strands.
I was delighted to get this beautiful strand, look at the colors, and be able to go back to the site to wishlist more of a certain style, or buy them right away. It's kind of the Krobos "overview" strand for me. Some recycled glass, and all kinds of different patterned beads. Buy with confidence.
