Old Trade beads such as these are as beautiful in their design as they are exceptional in their craftsmanship. Venetian glass beads were known for centuries as the highest quality and the workshops of Venice rose to prominence as the source for many of the iconic beads that are today associated with the African trade. This strand consists of a richly patterned assortment of black and yellow beads. This is a more unusual pattern of handmade beads and in excellent condition. This strand measures approximately 36" with individual beads measuring 12-23 x 10-12mm. These special beads would be suitable for the collector, bead connoisseur, or discerning designer.
