Own a piece of history with this beautiful, collectible strand of authentic yellow jacket chevron beads. Venetian chevron beads are the most sought after Venetian trade beads. Chevrons are made using a multiple-step process. First a cane is made, then another color of glass is added, and then it is put into a 12-point star mold. This process is repeated for each layer of the bead. Also referred to as "Rosetta beads" and "Star beads", Chevrons have been made in Venice since the 15th century. The tradition continues to this day, although in far more limited production. Each bead on this strand of yellow jacket chevrons measures approximately 2-10 x 6-10mm in size, with a hole size of 2mm.
