Take a closer look at these lovely light pink recycled glass beads. Handmade by artisans in Ghana, each bead is individually handcrafted through a traditional process passed down from generation to generation. The steps involve crushing glass into tiny pieces, placing it in a mold, and then heating the crushed glass at high temperatures in a clay oven. Different types of glass are used including old cola bottles, broken tiles and windows, and other types of repurposed glass. Each bead measures about 12 x 13mm with a stringing hole size of roughly 3mm. You will receive one strand measuring 26" in length.
