These beautiful recycled glass beads are handmade by artisans in the West African country of Ghana. Each bead is individually handcrafted through a traditional process passed down generation to generation. The steps involve crushing glass into tiny pieces, placing it in a mold, and then heating the crushed glass at high temperatures in a clay oven. Different types of glass are used including old cola bottles, broken tiles and windows, and other types of repurposed glass. The beads on this strand measure approximately 7-8 x 7-8mm with a hole size of approximately 2mm. Each strand measures about 24-27". Get your strand today!
I LOVE ALL OTHER BEADS. YOU ARE ASKING ME TO GO ITEM BY ITEM. I AM TOO TIRED TO DO THAT. MY ADVISE IS TO MAKE IT SHORTER. THANK YOU FOR RECYCLING AND SAVING THE EART. REGARDS, MIRA
I love the light blue color of these glass beads. Because I hadn't worked with recycled glass like this, it took me a minute to get used to the texture. But once I placed them around my wrist to see how they would feel as a bracelet, I knew they were perfect.
