These authentic vintage Vaseline beads are rare both in their color and in their shape. Made from Bohemian Glass during the 1800's, beads such as these were likely faceted by hand for export to Africa. During the Golden Period of Glass Making the Glassworks in and around Bohemia were world renowned for the quality and variety of glass objects that were made including chandeliers, glassware, and beads, and other pieces of art. Vaseline beads are most commonly found in red, yellow, and green, and clear Vaseline beads such as these are more difficult to find. Each bead measures approximately 12-18 x 12-15mm, with a hole size of approximately 2mm. You will receive one strand measuring approximately 24". There are around 41 beads on each strand. You will receive the exact strand pictured.
