These indented black beads are a rare variety of vintage Czech beads. The serrated bark-like surface is somewhat reminiscent of Black & White Venetian Dogtooth Beads. Beads such as these were likely produced during the early 20th century for Trade in Africa. Bead size is varies between approximately 5-11mm wide and 6-8mm diameter. Each strand is unique and may vary slightly from photo. Hard to find!
