Product Details

A beautiful strand of powder glass African beads, made by the people of Krobo Mountain in Ghana, West Africa. Many designs of Krobo beads are patterned to resemble old Venetian FANCY trade beads. Made from bottles and other glass items that are turned into powder, then poured into molds in order to create these round shaped beads. Decorations on the beads are made with a paste made of colored glass powder and water which is applied by hand using a thin wooden stalk. Each bead is unique and will measure approximately 11 x 13-14mm. Strand may vary slightly from picture.

Lovely Size, Eye-catching in combination.

The 11 mm is the same size as a lot of the Krobo tube beads, and they look really nice with them. Just enough irregularity to show that they are handmade (which I love). Very pleased.
