Old Padre beads come in a number of varieties however translucent padres are among the more difficult to find. The age of the glass is apparent in the unique imperfections that come with time. Old padre beads such as these are found in Ethiopia, East Africa. Originally European-made, they were traded in Africa the late 1800 early 1900's. Each beads measures approximately 9mm in diameter. Look carefully at the brilliant color to appreciate: these are original old padres...not new reproductions which are much easier to find. Limited supply available.
