This strand of interlocking Czech glass beads is called "SNAKE" trade beads because of its similarity to the snake vertebrae. They date back from the early 1900's. These beads have been molded and the strand is in pretty good condition. It has a nice antique rose color and is great to be used as spacers. Very often the strand may come with cobalt blue color beads which alternate with the rose beads which shows even more the interesting shape of these beads. The beads are 5mm thick, and about 6mm in diameter. Pattern of colored beads may vary slightly from picture as each strand is unique.
There are about 24 inches of beads that measure 6mm. The strand can be worn as is because it is long enough to slip over the head. You can also use these beads as spacers in your own bead creations.
