These beautiful recycled glass beads are handmade by artisans in the West African country of Ghana. Each bead is individually handcrafted through a traditional process passed down generation to generation. The steps involve crushing glass into tiny pieces, placing it in a mold, and then heating the crushed glass at high temperatures in a clay oven. Different types of glass are used including old cola bottles, broken tiles and windows, and other types of repurposed glass. The beads on this strand measure approximately 18 x 23-29mm with a hole size of approximately 3mm. Each strand measures about 32". Shade of grey may vary slightly from photo. Some strands may be more textured than others. Get your strand today!
