Take a look at this exceptional strand of vintage vinyl beads. Said to be made from vulcanized rubber or recycled phonograph records, beads such as these were exported to Africa from Europe during the early 1900s for the purpose of trade. Old vinyl beads such as these have bee replaced by newer varieties that are more commonly found. Vintage vinyl can be identified based on a smoother edge and the slightly polished surface of the beads. While vinyl beads were originally made in a variety of styles, colors other than red and black are much harder to find. Each stand is unique and may vary slightly from photo. Up to 15% of beads on any given strand may vary from the color shown. Limited supply.

Love them!

Had not seen these vinyl beads in green before. I use a lot of them(vinyl African heishi) in my Tribal design jewelry. Great strand of vinyl discs!
