Old Trade beads such as these are as beautiful in their design as they are exceptional in their craftsmanship. Venetian glass beads were known for centuries as the highest quality and the workshops of Venice rose to prominence as the source for many of the iconic beads that are today associated with the African trade. This specific strand includes a nice medley of black and white tone beads including rectangular Skunk Eye Beads, oval beads with a tribal pattern, and other select antique beads. This long strand measures approximately 32". These special beads would be suitable for the collector, bead connoisseur, or discerning designer. Some beads may be cracked or chipped due to age.
